A girl and her chickens
Sierra loves the chickens the most. In fact the other day we were playing hide and seek and no one could find her. She was hiding in the chicken house, good smelly spot.
Science and Running
We spent a few nights at the track helping Sierra with her 5th grade science project. She was testing running surfaces and footwear. The weather was warm and the sun was setting later in the day, good signs of summer's arrival.

Mac #7
Eric completed his 7th MacDonald Forest Ultra Marathon last month. As always I took the kids to the start and we watched the group take off. After the start Garrett followed the racers yelling, "I"m gonna beat you!" Before the race the kids and I wrote messages on tons of paper plates and hung them on the trees lining the trail that takes Eric from our house to the start of the race.
I am so proud of all Eric accomplishes doing this race. He motivated a few others to try trail running this year and worked hard to finish, even with an injury and lack of training time. I love watching this race even if it stresses me out every year. The only part I don't like its Eric's feet after the race. He is still losing toenails.
We love Mac Forest, it's such a beautiful place to live, run and breathe.

Alta Girls
While at BYU I lived in Alta Apartments. It was there I met all of these really amazing girls and my most amazing husband. Alta holds a lot of very special memories for me. Last month I met up with the Alta girls in Breckenridge Colorado for the weekend. I had not seen some of these girls for 6 years! The great thing is it felt like I had just seen them yesterday.
We did lots of catching up, eating, a little shopping, went to downtown Breckenridge (there were so many cute little houses to take pictures of) a little run (at a much higher elevation than my body is used to) and talked about life, the gospel and our kids. We have 22 kids between the 6 of us! (Or will once Jen and Julie have their babies).
It was a very relaxing weekend in a very beautiful setting. I left feeling uplifted, inspired and more connected to my Alta Girls and to my own family who let me take a Mom break. I can't wait to do it again!
