Game Days

It is the final week of Fall soccer for Allie and Mase.  Four less days of after school driving sounds really nice to me right now.  The weather last weekend was just about as perfect as could be for an October day in the NW.

Fast

Mase and Garrett went to the races with Eric.  It was loud and fast and I am pretty sure they all loved it.  Garrett loved the crashes, actually I think they all did.

And the green grass grew all around

There were a few "working days" of summer amidst the swimming and camping days. Ahh, summer, it's totally gone.

Life

Full circle, the last day of school is the first picture and the last picture is the first day of school this year.  Make sense?

Some other random events from the end of the school year and summer:
Sierra and her friend Allie at the "5th Grade Fly Up" Ceremony
I got to go on a field trip with Mason to a great rock museum and pioneer museum
Garrett finished one year of preschool and I think he actually liked it
Sierra moved from 5th grade and started Middle School this year
Allie participated in  a patriotic singing program with her 1st grade class
Sierra ran a 5km for Girls on the Run and I got to be her runny buddy for the race
The kids rode bikes a lot this summer, they even found other kids in our neighborhood to ride with
We took many trips to the library and spent many hours reading outside
The kids started a new year, Allie 3nd grade, Mason 4th grade, and Sierra 6th grade at the Middle School

Life is moving along!

Donuts

Garrett LOVES donuts, and luckily we have a little donut maker.  I tricked him and made these donuts with whole wheat pastry flour and pumpkin. Even with the chocolate chips added they felt a little bit healthier than most of the donuts Garrett loves to consume.

Sunny Soccer

We spend a lot of time at the kids school for soccer practice.  When it's sunny it's really not a bad place to be.  Allie has good friends on her team like her "twin" and enjoys practice a lot more than the games.  The sun has been so wonderful this week! Can you guess what Allie's favorite color is?

Together

Eric and I went on a picnic date.  Our town has the most beautiful places that take just minutes to drive to. Add a short walk to that drive and a few Trader Joe's favorites and ta da!  Date night!  Too bad we didn't get a shot together but here is proof we were both there.

Rains

The rain came on strong this fall and so did my flowers on the porch.  Good thing Allie and her baby are well prepared because we had record rain here for September.

Woodland Baby Shower

Just some great decor (and food) from a baby shower for a friend.  I love woodland decor right now.  Oh, and those cookies with the blue frosting are really, really good.
