A portrait of a person
I turned 33 and spent a weekend away with these two amazing women. We shopped, ate delicious food, talked, I slept in, ran and had a nice little get away from the hustle and bustle of life as a Mom. I took photos of Evie and her home since she will be moving away to the East Coast soon. Bonnie and Evie were both good sports to let me practice with my new lens. I love my 50mm f1.4!
A portrait of a home
Evie's home is always inspiring and I leave it with so many ideas for my own home. A unique treasure can be found in every corner inside and out.

A forest is always green
Garrett is the only one in our family who remembered it is March 17th today, all by accident of course. His full name is Garrett Forest and lately he is living up to his name. He was not happy today when I left to run in the forest with Sierra and Mase and he was not coming along. When I returned I took him to the forest and he was so happy. He could run where he wanted, splash in the puddles, go into the forbidden tree house and touch the moss.
Happy green day from Garrett Forest.
And don't worry, it's just mud.

The Sock Hop
The school has a Sock Hop and Silent Auction once a year for a fundraiser. I took Sierra and some friends and they danced the night away. I feel like the teen years are tapping ever so slightly on our door. Since it is a tapping I can't ignore it but I am not ready to open the door yet, it's not full fledged knocking fortunately. Sierra has some great years ahead of her and it's fun to imagine who she will become. Only time will tell.
Races
Mase had an early birthday party. Remote control car racing, an obstacle course, paint your own car, pizza, cupcakes, ice cream and boys. Need I say more?

Kindred Spirits
Sierra and Sofia, kindred and creative spirits. I turned over all of my old beading supplies to these two and they always come up with something magical. Tiny dolls and fairies made from wire and beads and most recently Indian Princess earrings and crowns. I love their creativity and the fact that they still know how to play. They like to dig up worms, make forts out of tree branches at recess and make all sorts of messes with glitter. It will be fun to see where life takes these two Indian Princesses.
