We finally made it to the coast this summer!

Scenes from the Trek...

Scenes and snippets from Wyoming...

We headed out to Wyoming to do a pioneer handcart trek with my family and friends. There were about 40 in all pulling and pushing handcarts.

If you go to church in Martin's Cove you will find mini handcart pulls and rice crispy treat handcarts for primary.

My niece was baptized in the Sweetwater River and the kids ran in the open prairie.

I love the blue sky, I love my trees but there is something to be said about the beautiful blue Wyoming sky.

We went through mud, pulled through small streams, pulled ticks off of our clothes, listened to stories about the pioneers who came before us, ran around with cousins, played "what time is it Mr. Fox" with aunt Mindy, ate lots of food and had one sleepless night with rain, thunder and lightning.

I hope I see some pictures from my siblings, hint, hint, to see what scenes they captured from the Trek.

Thanks Mom and Dad.

Mowgli...

Garrett can crawl the traditional way or if outside on rough ground "Mowgli." He isn't interested in walking, he can crawl too fast to care. He took three steps in Utah last month and that was the end of it. I am in no hurry but I do wonder when he will start walking.

TRAX

We had to travel city style and take the TRAX or is it just TRAX? We got to see Krista's new place and her fancy new ride, quite the advertisement right? Her husband John is trying his hand at running some new and improved dirty races. Check it out at www.thedirtydash.com

We ate Cafe Rio and the look-a-like twice. (Did you know we went back Krista, only by accident). I wish we had time to go see our Alma Mater BYU but time was short. We also never caught up with some BYU friends, sorry friends. Next trip.....

SLC take 2...

We hit Temple Square and it was hot for our Oregonian kids. So what do you think they liked the best? The reflecting pool, Garrett would have been in the water if it was at all possible.
