Jump for joy! (and for boots)

Most people who know me know that I love boots.  Eric wishes I didn't love them so much but something about them makes me feel happy.  (Eric you can go throw-up now.)

On a cleaner note, I also love this photography class I am taking.  I wish it wasn't ending because it has been a lot of fun and I have looked forward to every part of it.  After the first week that is. I thought I would never be able to shoot manual and get a decent picture.  I can't wait for more sun so I can get more practice in outside!

Can you believe what a beautiful day it was? Niether could Allie...

My boy Mason...

What he is up to lately:

He can't wait for spring soccer to start, his legs are growing much faster than his pants, he likes to stay up at night and read, he is always telling us what time it is, he does not like to be late to the bus-stop, he plays soccer every recess and every day at school, he pesters his younger sister and she pesters him and he does a great job being a big brother to Garrett.

He's got the whole world in his hands...

Flowers, forests, and photos...

She looks innocent enough...

Sometimes it's hard to choose just one...

Garrett was pretty excited to see this little caterpillar.  Luckily he didn't smash it.

Homework for Mom..

The forest, we like to call it our forest since it is in our backyard.

Allie early in the morning, being independent in dress and hair as always.
I am proud of this one.

Our forest girl

Megan

Campus kids, they seemed pleased to have two girls
(good looking ones I might add) ask to take some pictures of them.

Here are some examples of my homework from a photography class I am taking.  All  fully manual and no editing.

I am learning a lot!

Death by Syrup...

Beware:

If you leave Garrett alone with a chair for just a few minutes he will kill off your Star Wars Guys and Gals by drowning them in syrup.

Beware again:

Don't leave the bathroom door open on a Sunday morning just before it is time to leave for church.  He may throw the following items into the toilet:

2 toothbrushes
1 roll of toilet paper
1 package of baby wipes
2 wet diapers from the garbage
and to top it all off, one blue T-shirt

Yes, all of this was in the toilet.  Luckily Mason told me there was "stuff" in the toilet so I could investigate before we left the house for 3 hours.  There was no time for a picture but it would have been a good one.

My one and only...

We got away, for one night, just the two of us, no kids, sleeping in, lots of good food, running in a new forest, seeing unique stores, living the life of luxury really.  I love my one and only, a lot.

Cats in the sun..

No you don't need glasses, this picture is out of focus.  When the sun hits Oregon in January kids turn into cats on the porch, the only kind of cats I like I might add.

Ahhh, we've had sun...
