Moving Leaves

I wanted the driveway clear of leaves and Mason diligently did the whole thing while his sisters got distracted.  Allie wanted photos in the leaves, Sierra was riding her bike and if you look carefully you can see Mason, the only child doing the work.

Branching out

I have been branching out.  I have started a photo blog.  Photography has become something I really enjoy.  I have a lot to learn and as I do I hope to add more and more branches to my new little photography tree.  If you want to take a look just click here

The Smith brothers

These boys were such good listeners.  I told them they were doing awesome and were being so mellow.  The asked me what mellow meant.  When I explained it to them they said, "oh we weren't doing that at home."  The oldest of the three brothers will be baptized this month and looks so sharp in his white shirt and tie.  You can see more photos of these cute boys here

Better than Halloween

We lucked out and picked the perfect day to go to the pumpkin patch with friends.  It was overcast and misty when we arrived but the sun broke through and we had blue sky.  The next day was a complete downpour.  I tried getting a group picture but we were right outside the maze and kids couldn't help running in and out.  (Who could blame them?)  So we have a picture with the kids that were not running through the maze.   I love going to a pumpkin patch.  Hayrides and pumpkins never get old to me, never.

Hammer and glue

Garrett has been spending some time building in the garage lately.  If you ask him what he is building he will tell you it is guns or bombs.  I don't know where he comes up with his project ideas.  When we were driving the other day he said, "Mom, I wish a deer would talk to me."  I asked him what he would want it to say.  He didn't know.  In the next sentence he said, " If you got a big, big house you could do a bomb and then there would be fire."  And later, "If you get blood you have to go to the doctor."  I know he has been learning about police, firetrucks and safety at preschool but where the bombs always come in I don't know.  Angry birds?

Condor 25km Action Shots

When you run the same race as your husband you don't get to see him do some kind of pirouette across the finish until looking at the race photos someone else took. You also can't see your own 80's ponytail blowing in the wind.

This race was a trail 25km in memory of one of Eric's friends who passed away last  year.  It was a beautiful day for a run in our own backyard. My kids cheered for me on the the trail that goes right by our house.

It was my longest trail race and my friend Kendra stuck by me the whole time with a big smile on her face.  We had other friends in the race too.  Tyler, the 3rd place finisher, Megan who rocked it, Robyn who just went for it and many other friends from the forest.

I sure wish I could have seen Eric's dance across the finish in person.   It must have been truly amazing.
