cy·clo-cross [sahy-kloh-kraws, -kros] –noun a bicycle race over a cross-country course, featuring steep hills, turns, and sometimes muddy terrain, that occasionally requires a rider to carry the bicycle over fences and up stairs. A type of race that Eric Martin is becoming addicted to.
Allie and Mason both got haircuts today. Allie finally got a big girl haircut. I hated to see her hair falling to the floor but amazingly she looks like she has more hair now than she did before the haircut. Mason told the woman cutting his hair he likes it "spiky."
We see this almost daily while passing the high school. It has been there for about a year now and the kids always point it out and say, "There's the big hamburger!" Mason is trying to take a bite.
Mason started preschool last Friday. He went last year and cried everyday the first week. I thought we may have a repeat but luckily I was wrong. He got right into the action, it was like he had never left. What a great start! Allie and I are back to the trails exercising now that school is in full swing.
Sierra made it through her first week of 1st grade (Wed-Fri). It was harder on me and Mason than it was on Sierra. I am glad she loves school but we missed her. Mason will be very happy to know that tomorrow is Saturday (me too.)
