SR

I have yet to go to Smith Rock but after seeing the pictures Eric took on his mountain bike adventure I think I need to go see it in person.  It looks beautiful.

A building I spent a lot of time in so that I could be with Eric.

Cherie and Kari
I spent Thanksgiving of 2012 away from my family and spent time with my family.  Confusing right?  My nephew got baptized the Saturday after Thanksgiving so I flew out to Utah and spent 5 days there with my sister and her family as well as my parents.  I also got to have some time with some Martins too (well, some really have the name Malfatto.)  I have to admit is was nice to have a "vacation" but I really missed my family here.

I have a lot of memories in Utah and it was fun to visit memorable sights and people, like my BYU days friend Kari.  We can always pick up right where we left off.  It was fun to walk around BYU campus and see the changes, see the mountains and eat at Cafe Rio.  All in all a great trip but I was very happy to be home and very happy I didn't miss my flight (but that is another story.)

Fire and blood

Garrett is pretty excited about sword fighting, fire, guns, knights and anything else that can potentially harm you.  I guess this is partly our fault as parents.  We watched quite a bit of the BBC Robin Hood in the last few months and the kids loved it.  I made them skip a few episodes but still, swords, bows and arrows, fighting, blood, you get the picture.  It's all there and Garrett loves every minute of it.  This $2 spent at the Dollar Store was probably one of my best purchases ever.

All about Al

Allie turned 7 years old on December 28th

She loved every minute of picture taking on her birthday and if you want to see a lot of pictures of our cute Allie just click below.  She picked out everything,  clothes, hair, shoes, the poses, everything! Allie loves pink, peace signs, Junie B. Jones, pulling her teeth out before they are ready, Ingrid Michaelson (and any other music she can listen to loudly), playing with Garrett, drawing, coloring, grasshopper pie and laughing.  She keeps us on our toes and we love her A LOT!

Urban

Allie turned 7 and we did a little urban photo shoot.  Sometimes it's fun to change it up.  Eric and I took her out to breakfast and then did some pictures.  Allie loved the attention and when I have a few more minutes I will share more photos and more about the 7 year old Allie.
