I did this....

Eric had quite an adventure in Southern Utah with his brothers and sister Krista.  They headed to Robbers Roost and all I can say is I am glad the rattlesnake didn't bite, the quicksand was avoided and the rain stayed away.  He may have to do his own post and elaborate.

Eric's Dad helped me repaint the kitchen while Eric was away.  It feels much more serene, blaring yellow was a little much for my taste.  The pictures don't do the whole room justice so you might have to come see it in person!

I walked into the kitchen tonight and Cherie was cutting up some chicken, and I said, "Man, you look awesome, you should put a picture of yourself on the blog," and she said, "That's ridiculous.  You put a picture on the blog."

She didn't think I would.

Psychocross...

Eric in his Cyclocross race, some may call it Psychocross.  After the race a man watching said, "you guys are crazy."  Eric calls it a good kind of crazy.

Mud, rain, bikes, boots and more mud...

Living in Oregon will teach you one thing about rain, don't let it stop you.  Race in the rain, have recess in the rain, play soccer in the rain, run in the rain, take your kids to a Cyclocross race and pumpkin patch in the rain, etc.  You can't let it stop you from doing the things you love.  Sometimes you may even love what you do more if it's in the rain.  Ask Eric, I think he enjoyed getting this muddy and he couldn't have done it without the rain.

Number 9...

Mason is really enjoying his first season of soccer.  It is a great release for his after school energy, otherwise it goes to bugging Allie, pushing Allie, fighting with Allie, you get the picture.

Monkey business...

Garrett has discovered he loves to climb.  Up the stairs, up and down slides, on Mason's bed, onto the table, on top of the piano, cupboard shelves (he was laying across the shelf in the last picture but I missed it), hanging in the bath and finding very good use for the blue stool.  I think he is my busiest child yet!

$8.00

I found an old random bookshelf at a college warehouse sale for $8.  I knew I could do something with it.  A few coats of paint, some decorative wood and trim, some help from Allie and ta-dah!

Our toy corner in the living room is much more organized now.  Instead of a bunch of random baskets with books and toys the kids can see the books and the baskets of toys can be stored on the bottom shelf. 

This was a very satisfying DIY.
